Acetabular Arthroplasty Angles

Femoral Arthroplasty Measurements

Lateral inclination

- measure off the scout, draw an arrow along the transischial line, then use the angle tool to draw down the cup to the line and then out laterally along the line.

Anteversion

- on the axials, two different images showing the same thing. Start with a line that is parallel to the transischial line (can be done with post-it note if super crooked) the create a line that is 90 degree perpendicular to the transischial line. Then draw a line along the acetabulum and the angle created between the acetabular line and the 90 degree perpendicular line is the anteversion angle of the acetabulum.

Femoral Version

Line is drawn along the back of the femoral condyles and put a post it note there. The scroll up and draw a line along the center of the femoral neck. The Angle between the two is the femoral version. Here is Schreibmans link: Femoral Version Protocol
